A Florida Mini Cow Built on Care and Experience

We are a family-operated miniature cattle farm located in Southeast Volusia County, Florida, with more than 30 years of experience caring for our land and livestock.

Over the years, we have thoughtfully developed the Florida Aberdeen Mini—a distinctive miniature breed selected for balanced conformation, excellent health, calm temperament, and natural adaptability to Florida’s heat and insects.

Beautifully proportioned and solidly built, Florida Aberdeen Minis offer the presence and character of traditional cattle in a smaller, more manageable package. They are especially well suited for gentleman farms, family homesteads, and thoughtfully maintained small-acreage properties where quality, temperament, and ease of ownership matter.

Because we live and work on the farm, we know our cattle individually and remain closely involved from birth until each animal leaves for its new home. We promptly share new-calf photos with waiting families and enjoy helping buyers select cattle that complement their property, lifestyle, and long-term goals.

Welcoming a new calf is always special—and introducing that calf to the family who has been waiting for it never grows old.

Florida Aberdeen Miniature Cattle

Florida Aberdeen Miniature cows are a refined, scaled-down version of the traditional cattle many remember from open pastures — thoughtfully sized for today’s smaller acreage while maintaining classic proportions and presence.

Designed for Modern Rural Living

Florida Aberdeen Minis integrate seamlessly into Florida’s rural and semi-rural landscapes. Their smaller footprint makes them well-suited for thoughtfully managed acreage, while their calm nature and efficiency align with a simpler, more intentional lifestyle.

Practical Family Milk Production

Once they have calved, Florida Aberdeen Mini cows can be milked to provide a dependable daily supply suitable for family use. Historically valued by Florida pioneer families, this lineage continues to offer practical, small-scale milk production without the demands of larger dairy breeds.

Efficient Grazers, Easy Keepers

These cattle can be comfortably stocked at approximately one to two per acre with year-round grazing. With supplemental hay or feed when needed, they help maintain pastures naturally while contributing valuable organic fertility to gardens and orchards.

Calm Temperament & Manageable Size

Florida Aberdeen Minis are non-aggressive, fencing-friendly, and easy to handle. Their size and disposition reduce many of the challenges associated with larger cattle, making them a safe and appealing choice for families, properties with children, and mixed-use homesteads.

Efficient Feed & Pasture Performance

Florida Aberdeen cattle perform exceptionally well on pasture and typically require minimal supplemental feed. Their efficient grazing habits make them well-suited for thoughtfully managed land, even during periods of pasture pressure or seasonal variation.

Predictable Miniature Sizing

Florida Aberdeen Minis mature within a clearly defined miniature range. Select animals may mature at micro-mini heights under 36 inches, while parent stock remains under 42 inches, maintaining balanced proportions without sacrificing structural integrity.

Ease of Herd Management

Florida Aberdeen Minis are purposefully line-bred for exceptional temperament, structural integrity, and reliably small stature.

Our genetics are carefully curated allowing each generation to mature inches smaller while preserving uniformity, soundness, and calm handling traits.

This consistency allows families to retain their female offspring and breed back to the established herd bull, removing the need for frequent bull replacement while maintaining predictable results. The result is simplified, sustainable breeding program designed for long term success.

How to Get Your Babies

Bringing Florida Aberdeen Minis to Your Farm

Florida Aberdeen Minis are selectively bred for the qualities discerning small-acreage owners value most: manageable size, balanced conformation, calm temperament, and dependable performance in Florida’s climate.

Because our calves are produced in limited numbers, most females are reserved well before they are born. We are currently accepting reservations for female calves expected during the summer and fall of 2027.

Joining the Reservation List

A $500 deposit secures your position on our reservation list. Calves are offered in the order deposits are received.

To begin, please contact us with:

  • The number of cattle you are interested in
  • Your preference for females, breeding bulls, or companion steers
  • Whether you are establishing a breeding herd or seeking pasture companions

We will discuss your plans and provide an estimated timeframe based on current reservations.

Female Calf Placement

Our female calves represent the future of the Florida Aberdeen breed and are placed with the intention that they remain in responsible breeding programs.

For that reason, female calves are offered only to customers who have purchased a male calf from our program—either previously or as part of their initial herd purchase. This policy helps ensure that our carefully developed females remain productive members of well-planned Florida Aberdeen herds.

Companion Steers

For owners who want gentle, attractive cattle without establishing a breeding program, companion steers are an excellent choice. We generally have companion steers available, and male calves may be castrated upon request at no additional charge.

Their manageable size and calm nature make them especially well suited for gentleman farms, family properties, and thoughtfully maintained small acreages.

Current Pricing

  • Female calves: $4,500
  • Breeding bulls: $4,500
  • Companion steers: $3,500
  • Reservation deposit: $500

The remaining balance is due when the calf is picked up or delivered.

Preparing for Your Cattle

Once your calf is selected, we will provide photographs, progress updates, and guidance to help you prepare your property. We remain closely involved from birth through pickup and beyond. We love our Florida Aberdeen families and are happy to assist with questions about fencing, shelter, feeding, and introducing your new cattle to their home.

Contact us to discuss your property, your goals, and the Florida Aberdeen Minis that would be the best fit for your farm.
